I've decided that, instead of writing a full book about my experiences (good & bad) in nursing homes, I will start to blog about the bad ones.  I welcome your comments.

First one will be posted this weekend.  Please note that I'm going to try my hardest to stick to the truth, although I will have to change identifying info in order to ensure I don't get the crap sued out of me.  Unfortunately, we are talking about huge corporations with deep pockets. If only they'd spend more time and money caring for their patients instead of trying to protect themselves, the world would be a better place.  Until this weekend!

I look forward to hearing more of your experiences (good and bad). I recently purchased your book and I cannot seem to put it down. I am interested in becoming a Nursing Home Administrator so its nice to have a candid view of what goes on behind the scenes! Very good read.

I hope you incorporate stories of good nursing homes as well as bad experiences. There are many good nursing homes out there that receive a bad reputation because of one bad former staff member or one bad incident that doesn't mean that the facility is bad or all of the staff are bad. I think if people understood the rules and the regulations on nursing homes and heard the good stories people would have a positive experience to share with others and be educated to make an informed choice when choosing a nursing home for their relative.

Nursing homes can be reasonable locations or they can be a residing terrible for elderly people. I've seen a lot of situations of ignore in medical houses, such as bed blisters, elderly people being kept in a space all day because no one desired to take them out in their wheel chair and a deficiency of interest.

Woodworkers can get into ruts but they also like to look for new challenges and opportunities to explore their personal relationship with wood. Getting a wood lathe and learning to use it open up a new dimension in woodworking. While many of the talents learnt in flat woodworking carry over to the round world of woodturning, new talents in the craft need to be developed, leading to new excitement in an old field.

In commercial real estate your leads and prospects should be protected so you do not loose your commission. Listings and negotiations can take time to negotiate, so protect your business and your commissions all the way to the agreement stage.
